As we continue sharing stories from professionals, one thing is already clear: interaction matters long before outcomes do.
“Some years ago, I worked with a company that introduced a new Key Accountabilities Management model to strengthen customer leadership.
On paper, the model made sense.
In practice, one thing was overlooked.
The organisation was built around strong regional structures, and the success of the change depended heavily on regional directors. Yet the change was announced broadly, without first involving a few key regional leaders who could have acted as internal ambassadors.
Without early understanding and support, the rollout immediately met resistance.
Several regions felt their authority was being reduced. Not because the model was flawed, but because it arrived without context or conversation.
Implementation dragged on far longer than planned.
What slowed things down was not the framework itself, but the absence of early alignment at the moment it mattered most.
With proper involvement and timing, the transition would likely have been faster, calmer, and far less contested.”
